Black and white locomotive photo of the William Mason built for the Baltimore & Ohio railroad in 1856. It was built by William Mason who owned the Mason Machine Works in Taunton, MA, hence the name sake. Mason Machine Works built more than 700 steam locomotives during its production reign. The engine is currently on display at the B&O Museum in Baltimore, MD. My Dad captured the engine while it was on exhibition at the 1939 NY World's Fair.
